Top Ten Tuesday (4)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Artsy Reader and gives people a chance to list out their favorites of the topic of the week!!

TODAY'S TOPIC IS:
Books to read by the pool/at the beach

1. Save the Date by Morgan Matson
This looks like the perfect light read while also being hilarious and totally relatable. It is about a family reuniting for a wedding and all the drama and love that comes with that which sounds perfect considering I'll be surrounded by family when I head to the beach next month.
2. By Your Side by Kasie West
Recently I have been all about Kasie West's book, so of course there had to be one on this list. By Your Side is about two teenagers from very different friend groups being stuck in the library for a day together and the spark that may or may not fly.
3. Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
Another YA romance but this one is online, maybe? Bailey meets someone online who shares her love for all things movies (RELATABLE) but when she moves to town she doesn't tell him. And she maybe meets someone else who is typically the wrong guy for her so she is forced to choose. Call me a sucker for sappy YA romances and you'd be accurate, but I think this one would be the perfect pool read.
I'm excited about this book, because I think it will contain plenty of light humor perfect for a beach, but also touch on subjects relating to being a Christian in today's world. I don't read a ton of Christian fiction, but when I find a good one, I can't let it pass me by.
5. All the Little Lights by Jamie McGuire
I read Beautiful Disaster by McGuire last year and loved it, I don't know why I have picked up another one of her books by no better time than the present right? All the Little Lights is about a romance that becomes separated by distance, and when they are reunited things aren't the same. If it's anything like the other one I read this book will be amazing and not to mention a STEAMY romance.
6. A Date With Darcy by Tiffany Schmidt
This is every book lovers dream book. Merrilee thinks that guys are better in books (like most of us probably) and I don't know how or why but she gets the chance to experience this first hand by switching schools. I must read to learn where all the Darcys of the world are hiding!!
7. Yesterday's News by R.G. Belsky
No list would be complete without a mystery book. Yesterday's news is about a cold case that when it gets reopened reveals more than clues, and in order to solve the case once and for all everyone will have to face their own past.

What is on your list??

  2. Bethany's book is indeed light and happy! One of my favorite reads from 2017. Also, anything by Kasie West is always a favorite of mine, and Morgan's book looks SO cute. Hoping the story is as cute as this cover design. :)

  9. Alex, Approximately and All the Little Lights sound good. Most of the books I really want to read are coming out in September, so I'm just reading whatever sounds good at the time until then.
