Book Review: Before I Go To Sleep
Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson
Goodreads Summary:
As
I sleep, my mind will erase everything I did today. I will wake up tomorrow as
I did this morning. Thinking I'm still a child, thinking I have a whole
lifetime of choice ahead of me...
Memories
define us. So what if you lost yours every time you went to sleep? Your name,
your identity, your past, even the people you love--all forgotten overnight.
And the one person you trust may only be telling you half the story.
Welcome
to Christine's life.
My
Review:
4/5 stars
This
book had been on my “to-read” shelf for a long time and I never seemed to get
around to it. But let me tell you, it was worth the time. This book became a
motion picture in 2014 staring Nicole Kidman. I have never seen the movie but I
will have to catch it soon and see for myself if it’s true that the books are
always better than the movies.
I was
truly captivated by this book. I took it everywhere with me the past couple
days… work, movies, dinner, it was always in my purse just waiting for me to
have time to pick it back up. I found
myself trying to solve it while still second-guessing what I thought would be
revealed in pages to come.
I
highly recommend this book especially for those of you that like to read books
that have movies too!
“A
brilliant, nasty noir. It drags you down into deep, dark, and disturbing
waters.” – Los Angeles Times
