Hallmark Movies: Top Season Favorites

I don't care what you say, I bet you are a closet Hallmark lover. Christmas is for sure my favorite movies on that channel, and they have already started playing them! I rounded up some of my favorites in case any of you are looking for a cheesy Saturday night in.

Falling For Vermont:
Starting this list off with a good fall movie. In this never before heard story, an author of the top teen trilogy turned movie series ditches her responsibilities and ends up in an accident that results in amnesia. She ends up in a cute small town of Vermont where she meets a (gasp) extremely handsome doctor that helps her figure out who she is and where she came from. Naturally throughout the story there is a lot of self discovery about what the author wants in her life and what is truly most important. One this is for sure though, 'Falling For Vermont' will put a smile on your face and make you want to visit a cute and quaint small town.

A Harvest Wedding:
Another fall love story about a successful wedding planner in the big city. Who wouldn't you know it, ends up planning her old high school sweetheart's brothers wedding in her small hometown. Heading home and reconnecting with the dreamy David brings back feelings. Or is that just the wedding bells? She has to sort through what was past feeling and what are present while reminiscing on her old town memories and planning her future. Another cute but predictable fall love story, the only thing missing was my PSL.

Christmas Next Door:
Let Christmas, hot chocolate and the cheesy loveee stories begin. This one stars the boy we all know and love from the the classic John Tucker Must Die. Jesse Metcalfe (also responds to John) is about the only thing that kept me intrigued in this one. He plays the workaholic Christmas scrooge that slowly comes around with the help of his niece and nephew and of course the pretty girl down the street. He sees the joy and happiness that can come from a little Christmas spirit. Overall not the best one for the season, but if it is on Hallmark again I'd give it another chance at least for Jesse ;)

A Christmas Detour:
Our Hallmark Queen herself (Candace Cameron-Bure) stars in this Christmas love story. She is desperately trying to get home to her fiancé to meet his family before their big day, but an unexpected snow storm cancels all flights, trains, and closes most roads. She ends up riding to the city with wait for it... the super handsome single man and a couple from the plane. She begins to reevaluate what is important in a soul mate. It's another super cheesy but always entertaining seasonally movie.

Christmas in Homestead:
Last one for this post, a movie star producing her first film goes to a quaint little town that does Christmas right. She meets the mayor who is also the inn owner who is also the yes you guessed it very attractive single father. While a rivalry forms over taking down the town's decorations to get the right scene a connection also is underlying. Through the ups and downs of the paparazzi a main 'lesson' to be learned from this one is that change can sometimes be a good thing. This came from the innkeepers sister who said "what if you had to open the same Christmas gift every year?". A super cute Christmas movie that has me counting down the days till Christmas!

Now if you can admit you love Hallmark as much as me what movie is your favorite??

  1. Aww!! I'll confess I watch WAY too many of these year round. Also, I did really like Jesse's. "Christmas in Homestead" is another favorite, and I adore "A Harvest Wedding." At least what I Remember I do; it's been a while since I saw it. :)
